amj - 8 AM Dream

Beating in the center of the bee and the cay
Lay the season we had missed
Leaves that left the mountains for our leisure
Settled in the projects of the ancient architects
These little seeds look just like flies
Because they too need to leave to grow
Maybe in a thousand years or so
All their children will scatter about our feet

And we'll watch them climb
But first we need to take them home
Nurture like their mothers who led them on their own
Man's hands dug them from the ground
Because they didn't see their lonesome
Stirring to find the ship
To lead us
Back
